I can’t give enough praise to the service provided by Simon and his team. They were there to help me navigate an extremely challenging tax situation at a very difficult time in my life following the death of a loved one. The care and compassion was beyond what I had from any other company I was dealing with at this time. But most impressive was their knowledge and attention to detail that ended up cutting a tax bill down to a fraction of the HMRC claim. My only regret was not finding them earlier after wasting money with other advisors that did very little and just took my money.
I would recommend them to anyone! Keep up the great work.

I would not recommend UK Landlord Tax based on my experience.

I appointed them to deal with my 2025/26 Self Assessment and expected that, having supplied my records, I was paying for an accountant to actually prepare the figures and return.

I provided my three separate self-employed income streams individually, clearly labelled, along with the relevant invoices, bank records and separate records of cash income. Despite this, I was then asked to go back through everything myself and calculate the income totals for each business.

After doing that work myself, I was presented with a tax calculation using the £1,000 trading allowance. When I realised that claiming my actual legitimate business expenses would substantially reduce the tax bill, I was told this would cost an additional £300 + VAT - while I would again be expected to identify and organise the expenses for them.

What particularly frustrated me was being charged for “calculating income and expenditure” when I had personally calculated the income totals, and my actual expenditure had not been calculated because the trading allowance had been used instead.

The initial fee was £375 + VAT. When I decided not to proceed with them, I questioned what I was actually being charged for given how much of the groundwork I had completed myself. After several emails, they eventually reduced the amount to £325 + VAT (£390), which I paid simply to close the matter and move on.

To be fair, they did explain that they still had to reconcile figures, prepare the tax return, review it and calculate the tax liability, and they did ultimately reduce the invoice after I raised my concerns. However, the overall experience left me feeling that I had done a significant amount of the work I had hired an accountant to do in the first place.

I found the pricing structure particularly poor value: paying hundreds of pounds for the basic return, then being quoted hundreds more to have actual expenses considered, despite already supplying the underlying records.

The whole process was frustrating, expensive and not remotely the level of service I expected from a professional accountancy firm. I ultimately chose not to allow them to submit my return and will be dealing with my tax affairs elsewhere.

Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

Owning a home dont come with much instructions.

When venturing out and letting your property without knowing much about what needs to be done can be daunting, but I did it anyway because of circumstance.

Little did I know I had to do varies of things and one of them is doing tax return for HMRC.
I was late and didn't even know I needed to do this since 2023.

When HMRC came with a scary letter and telling me to fill it in on the.Gov website, I had no clue how to do this.

Im not well educated and cant do maths, so I got help, I literally google accountants and this company responded quite quick.

And had the ball rolling from then, they have been very helpful with my many questions of what's this and what's that.

Its not to dear the price, but its alot less headache and sleepless nights.

Imagine my shock when I realised that for over a decade I was doing everything wrong, HMRC wise, as an overseas landlord. The need to deal with 13 years worth of not having a clue about how to make everything above board, with only patchy (at best) records became apparent just before Christmas 2025. It's no exaggeration to say that I was profoundly worried and genuinely terrified about the prospect of getting my affairs in order. A mate recommended I get in touch with UK Landlord Tax, as he'd had exactly the same scare. From the very first contact with Jennie and Charlotte things began to improve, and they needed to, as I was in a bad way about it all. The on-boarding process, was AI-bot free and genuinely compassionate about my worries and there was honesty and transparency throughout. The portal they use makes everything clean and clinical and there were only ever plain English explanations of where we were in the process. My case was assigned to George who could not, and I mean this, be more professional. No shocks, no drama just a clinical unraveling of the mess I was in. The case is now closed with an outcome I still can't believe is real as my settlement figure with the HMRC was so far under what I expected it to be. In fact, I had to message George to check it wasn't a typo (but he doesn't do typos). I'd shopped around before using them and they certainly weren't the cheapest, but the final HMRC fee and the way in which Jennie, Charlotte, and George put my fears to rest made it worth every penny and then some. So, yep, recommended!

The service has been excellent. The team is responsive, thorough and helpful. Pippa has been particularly helpful and supportive.
